We know that learning a new skill changes the physical structures of the brain. When we stimulate neurons (by challenging ourselves to try something new) the more neural pathways are formed - the more pathways, the faster impulses travel.
We all have white matter in our brains (myelin) which helps us improve our cognition. Myelin acts as a coating - the more myelin, the more neural pathways there are! Aka: it’s easier for your brain to make connections, learn & process info.
